My Brain

I love taking tests. Yes, I know. I am weird. But hey, at least I can admit it!
I find left-brain vs. right-brain test particularly interesting. The reason for this is that I usually get a very even score. Which is weird, and so makes me even weirder than I already was. Sigh.

Are you ready to see the evidence? It's coming, whether you like it or not, so keep reading or escape now before it's too late and you find yourself taking the:

On this test (a series of questions with yes/no answers), both sides of my brain scored equally in terms of dominance. To be fair, I don't know if I turn my head to the right or left when asked questions, so I answered "no" to each of those... though I suspect it is to the left.

Right Brain/ Left Brain Quiz
The higher of these two numbers below indicates which side of your brain has dominance in your life.  Realising your right brain/left brain tendancy will help you interact with and to understand others.
Left Brain Dominance: 16(16)
Right Brain Dominance: 16(16)
Right Brain/ Left Brain Quiz

According to this test, where you look at a spinning dancer, I am irrevocably right-brained. I just can't see her turning the other way, no matter how much I squint!

I liked this test the most. It seems to be an expanded version of the first test I mentioned, but also has a lot of information about different characteristics. According to the test, I am 49% left-brained and 51% right-brained. If you go to this page, you can see a breakdown of the scores, which is super interesting! Apparently I'm only 13% logical, making that the weakest left-brained characteristic (hahahaha too funny!) and I'm 39% random - the second highest right-brained characteristic. The highest scoring attributes for each brain hemisphere were 'realism' and 'concrete'. (And of course, now I'm thinking "concrete is never so real as when your head smacks into it.")

One final test (before you're completely bored). According to this one, right-brainedness was the runaway winner, with 12 out of 18 questions giving a score of 33.3% left-brained and 66.6% right-brained.

You know what I think is interesting? I think I am more right-brained now that I used to be, but not because how my brain works has changed. I think that has stayed the same. I think I am more relaxed now, more confident and secure in who I am, and that has - in a way - released me to be who a truly am.

And here is a crochet pattern for a Futurama Brain Slug, just incase you're interested in that sort of thing (and here is the Ravelry link). (ETA: This isn't my crochet pattern. It was made by Alicia of Hook and Needles.)

So, are you left-brained, right-brained or strange like me? Take the tests and share the result in the comments!

  2. Whee, I love these kinda tests, too.

For the Right V Left brain, I got Left Brain 49% and Right Brain 51%.

With the dancer, I could only see clockwise - right-brained again! :)

  5. 54% left brained, 46% right brained. I wanted to be more artistic, but I guess I'm too logical.

    Like your slugs!
